Emmetts History
Emmett Motors was established in 1957 when Jack Emmett purchased a local garage and service station in Rupanyup, VIC where he and his wife, Myra, were raising their five children. Two years later, Jack was approached by Massey Ferguson, a major player in Australian agriculture, to market its full line of products. The business continued to grow in Victoria, and in 1989, Emmetts became the John Deere franchise serving the Wimmera region.
The organisation continued to flourish, and by 2015 it was ready to expand into South Australia. It acquired the family-owned business Rosenberg Machinery Group, which added six branches to the organisation. On the success of this expansion, in 2018, Emmetts acquired Paech Motors in Oakbank SA, which strengthened its commitment to the agricultural and landscaping sectors. Most recently, Emmetts acquired Pringles Crouch, a John Deere dealer group with four branches in the Eyre Peninsula and Mid-North regions of South Australia, bringing its total footprint of 15 branches with more than 360 staff.
